After his live Top 10 performance on The Voice, Season 12, Hunter Plake was interviewed by Entertainment Tonight and asked to comment on how influential his coach Gwen Stefani is during the competition. Hunter said “She cares so much,” particularly when it comes to finding the right song.

Hunter explained: “We have this email that we connect through during the week. And I remember I was thinking about a song and I woke up with like 30 emails from her with song ideas. He says her kids, and her brothers and Blake were all trying to find songs. It was nuts,” he said. “Higher Love (which Hunter considers his best performance so far) was one of the songs we were talking about.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
