In the Hustle & Soul episode ‘The Worst Staff Meeting Ever,’ bartender Candice and hostess Sana can’t believe The Pink Teacup owner and chef Lawrence Page let floor manager Thandie back. She threw punches at Candice in the restaurant and then fought Sana. When Candice asks Sana if she’s quitting, Sana says, “I won’t let anyone get in between me and my coins.” Sana says if she or Candice did what Thandi did, “we would have been chopped, let go, do not come back into my establishment.”
Candice agreees and says there’s only one reason why Lawrence would let Thandi back — because he’s sleeping with her. Why else, says Candice, “she’s a liability and he’s trying to get the Michelin star,” which is a tall order. Keep in mind, in 2017, out of the thousands of restaurants in New York City, only 77 restaurants were given Michelin Stars and that’s across three boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens). “Who would jeopardize their business like that?” Hustle & Soul airs Thursdays at 10pm on WE.
