With the world spinning faster than usual, ABC 20/20 takes a time out to interview Larry Birkhead. The photographer dated the late Playboy Playmate of the Year and famous Guess clothing fashion model Anna Nicole Smith, and is father of her daughter, Dannielynn, who was 5 months old when Smith was found dead in 2007 from an accidental overdose at the age of 39.

At the age of 24, Smith married 89-year-old Texan billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall. Birkhead tells ABC 20/20 that Smith “genuinely has some kind of a deep love for him. Now, I don’t know if it was the kind of, you know, physical type of thing, but it was what he did for her and what he did for Daniel that he changed her life.” Marshall died 14 months after their wedding day. Smith’s life was filled with tragedy in many ways: her teenage son Daniel (from a first marriage) died tragically in 2006, while visiting his mother who had just given birth to Dannielynn.
