In the Gotham episode ‘Mad City: Ghosts,’ while Falcone (John Doman) orders Gordon (Ben McKenzie) dead after learning that he shot Mario, Selina’s (Camren Bicondova) estranged mother Maria Kyle returns. Selina once described her mother to Bruce Wayne as a woman who “sings and dances and does magic tricks. Gets paid millions but that’s just a cover. Really, she’s a secret agent for the government.” So what exactly are Maria’s intentions in Gotham?
Maria Kyle is portrayed by Ivana Milicevic. She’s known for her roles on Power (Karen Bassett) and Banshee (Carrie Hopewell), among others. Milicevic is also recognized for her roles in the films Casino Royale (Valenka) and Vanilla Sky (Emma). Fun fact about Milicevic: She was in the Seinfeld episode where Jerry takes advice from a bad tennis player (Milicevic plays his adoring wife Patty). Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
