The protagonist of the new BET TV series The Quad is Dr. Eva Fletcher. She was just elected president of Georgia A&M (GAMU), a fictitious prestigious HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). It’s not an easy job.
Eva is portrayed by Anika Noni Rose. She’s known for her roles on 50 Cent’s Power (Jukebox), Bates Motel (Special Agent Liz Babbitt), The Good Wife (Peter Florrick’s rival in the State Attorney’s office, Wendy Scott-Carr), Private Practice (Corinne Bennett), and in the 2016 TV mini-series Roots (Kizzy), among others. Rose is also well recognized for her roles in the films Dreamgirls (Lorrell Robinson), Just Add Water, and From Justin to Kelly (Kaya). P.S. She won a Tony Award for her role in Caroline, or Change. The Quad airs Wednesdays at 10pm on BET.
