In The Odd Couple episode ‘Felix Navidad’, Felix Unger (Thomas Lennon) is in a tizzy after his mother Meredith decides not to host the traditional family Christmas. Felix steps up but his mother (surprise, surprise) is also a perfectionist. Felix’s roommate Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry) tries to get Meredith to go easy on her son.
Meredith is portrayed by Jessica Walter. She’s known for her roles on Arrested Development (Lucille Bluth), 90210 (Tabitha Wilson), One Life to Live (Eleanor Armitage), Coach (Susan Miller), Trapper John, M.D. (Melanie Townsend McIntyre), and Three’s a Crowd (Claudia Bradford), among many others. Walter is also well recognized for her role as the obsessed Evelyn in Clint Eastwood’s 1971 film Play Misty for Me. The Odd Couple airs Mondays at 9:30pm on CBS.
