In The Walking Dead episode ‘Hearts Still Beating’, Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) visit to Alexandria continues to rock everyone’s world including Hilltop Colony’s Gregory. Gregory is portrayed by veteran actor Xander Berkeley. He’s known for his authoritarian TV roles on Aquarius (Police Commissioner), 12 Monkeys (Col. Jonathan Foster), Zoo (Ronnie “Dogstick” Brannigan), Salem (Magistrate Hale), The Mentalist (Sheriff McAllister), Being Human (Liam McLean), Nikita (Percy), and 24 (George Mason), among others. Fun fact about Berkeley: He made his acting debut in the 1981 film Mommie Dearest (as Joan Crawford’s adult son Christopher Crawford).
Berkeley is also recognized for his roles in the films Taken (Stuart), Sid and Nancy (Bowery Snax), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Todd Voight), A Few Good Men (Captain Whitaker), and Spielberg’s Amistad (Hammond), among many more. You can see him next on the big screen in Solace. It’s about a creepy psychic (Anthony Hopkins) who works with the FBI (TWD’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to hunt down a serial killer (Colin Farrell). Solace will be in theaters December 16. The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
