In the Little People, Big World episode ‘Zombie Apocalypse’, while Amy Roloff plots her next step (she’d love to open a bed-and-breakfast on the farm), her ex-husband Matt is not so optimistic about the future. He drives everyone to a spot on the farm where he wants to build a bunker for the whole family to stay in case of a doomsday scenario. Matt explains he’ll bring a giant shipping container out to the hillside and bury part of it in the ground so that nobody can see it.

“You never know what could happen,” says Matt. “There could be a terrorist attack, an explosion out by Mt. Saint Helen, a zombie apocalypse, we don’t know.” Amy tells her ex-husband he’s sounding “a little paranoid.” She makes a joke about Matt’s looking for something crazy to do after his recovery from surgery went so well. “Now that he’s not dying, we have to prepare for Doomsday.” Little People, Big World airs Mondays at 8pm on TLC.
