Murray’s (Jeff Garlin) brother Marvin returns to The Goldbergs in the episode HO-LY K.I.T.T. Last time Uncle Marvin was in town was for last year’s Thanksgiving — when he tricked Pop-Pop into thinking the family dinner was elsewhere. This Thanksgiving, Marvin and Murray go to Philadelphia on Thanksgiving Day in order to get a look at the Knight Rider car K.I.T.T. in person. Their bonding doesn’t last long.
Uncle Marvin Goldberg is portrayed by Dan Fogler. He’s known for his roles on Secrets and Lies opposite Ryan Phillippe (David Lindsey), Hannibal (Franklin), Man Up (Kenny Hayden), and M’larky (Lt. Black), among others. Fogler is also recognized for his roles in the animated films Horton Hears a Who! (Councilman and Yummo Wickersham) and Kung Fu Panda (Zeng). Fun fact: Fogler launched his acting career on Broadway. He won a Tony Award for his role as William Barfee in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” in 2005. The Goldbergs airs Wednesdays at 8pm on ABC.
