In the Season 3 premiere episode of The Librarians, ‘And the Rise of the Chaos’, The Librarians clash with the Egyptian God of Chaos who is ready to release pure evil onto the world. The Librarians must decode a series of clues at a science museum in order to stop Chaos, who inhabits a human body. Along the way, The Librarians are met by General Cynthia Rockwell.

General Rockwell is portrayed by Vanessa Williams. The former Miss America (1984) turned singer/actress is known for her roles on The Good Wife (Courtney Paiges), 666 Park Avenue (Olivia Doran), Desperate Housewives (Renee Perry), Ugly Betty (Wilhelmina Slater), and in the films Eraser opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shaft opposite Samuel L. Jackson, among others. Williams is also well recognized for her roles on Broadway including Into the Woods, The Trip to Bountiful, and After Midnight. The Librarians airs Sundays at 8pm on TNT.
