In the Modern Family episode ‘Thanksgiving Jamboree’, while Haley (Sarah Hyland) would rather spend time with her new boyfriend, weatherman Rainer Shine (Nathan Fillion), her sister Alex (Ariel Winter) strikes up a friendship and shares a kiss with football player Dwight who’s staying with her Uncle Cameron.
Dwight is portrayed by Winston Duke. He launched his career with a role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2014. After that, he landed the role of Dominic on Person of Interest, Zahir Zakaria on The Messengers, and Curtis Turner on Major Crimes. You can see Duke next on the big screen in the 2018 Marvel film Black Panther with Michael B. Jordan (M’Bauk). Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC.
