The Odd Couple is honoring Garry Marshall, the creator of the original show who played Oscar Madison’s (Matthew Perry) father Walter on the new show before he passed away in July. Marshall, a TV legend, was 81. Several actors who have starred in Marshall’s sitcoms over the decades — including Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, and Mork & Mindy — make cameo appearances in a special episode.

Clayton is portrayed by Anson Williams. He’s best known for his role as Potsie Weber on Garry Marshall’s Happy Days. Since then, he’s become a TV director and is known for his work on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Lizzie McGuire, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Melrose Place, among many others. Fun facts about Williams: He’s the author of Singing to a Bulldog: From Happy Days to Hollywood Director, and the Unlikely Mentor Who Got Me There, and he’s the nephew of Dr. Henry Heimlich, creator of the Heimlich Maneuver. The Odd Couple airs Mondays at 9:30pm on CBS.
