Brendan Fletcher is the young man from Randolph, New Jersey, who’s made it to the Top 12 on The Voice, Season 11. For his Blind Audition he sang the Ray LaMontagne version of Dolly Parton’s Jolene and got everyone but Blake Shelton to turn around. Brendan choose Adam Levine, wisely. The young rocker performed the Allman Brothers Band song “Whipping Post“earlier this week to advance to the Top 11.
Rocking out to the Allman Brothers is a far cry from where Brendan launched his music career during high school. He says he wasn’t too involved in his high school’s music program but he did land the role of Captain Von Trapp in the school’s musical The Sound of Music when he was a senior (class of 2008). The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
