In the Family Guy episode ‘Hot Shots’, Brian tries to convince Peter and Lois to vaccinate Stewie but they decide not to. However, it turns out that they will listen to Academy Award winner Sean Penn (voiced by Sean Penn) who (literally) flies into town to save Stewie.
The character Sean Penn has appeared on Family Guy twice before — he was voiced by Seth Green. In ‘The King Is Dead’ episode (March 2000), Penn was a weatherman who has a violent outburst in the studio and attacks a cameraman. In the April 2015 episode “Once Bitten,” Neil and Chris trick Penn into dressing up like his dad Mort. Family Guy airs Sundays at 9pm on FOX.
