If you missed the TV movie Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors last year, don’t worry there’s a sequel this year, Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. The sequel picks up where we left off. Dolly Parton is still a little girl (portrayed by Alyvia Alyn Lind) living with her poor but full of love family. Young Dolly is singing on the street trying to collect money to buy her mama (Jennifer Nettles) the ring that her father (Ricky Schroeder) couldn’t afford.

While performing on the street, young Dolly thinks she’s dreaming when she sees the Painted Lady (portrayed by real life Dolly Parton) leaning against a fancy convertible. Young Dolly approaches her and asks if she’s real. Dolly Parton says “I’m as real as rain.” Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love airs Wednesday, November 30 at 8pm on NBC.
