It’s not yet Halloween but that’s not keeping Hallmark Channel from celebrating Christmas two months in advance. The protagonist of its first Countdown to Christmas TV movie, A Wish for Christmas, is Sara Shaw. When her idea is stolen at work she doesn’t speak up, instead she makes a wish to Santa hoping for the courage to stand up for herself. Santa grants her the wish but there’s a time limit – she has to speak up within 48 hours.
Sara Shaw is portrayed by Lacey Chabert. She’s best known for her roles as Gretchen in Mean Girls, and on the TV shows Party of Five (Claudia Salinger) and Baby Daddy (Dr. Amy Shaw). A Wish for Christmas will premiere on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October 29 at 8pm. It will air again on October 30 at 2pm, November 4 at 8pm, November 5 at 12pm, November 10 at 8pm, November 12 at 4pm, November 17 at 8pm, November 21 at 8pm, November 23 at 2pm, and November 30 at 12am.
