On the Season 3 premiere episode of Gotham, ‘Mad City: Better to Reign in Hell,’ Gotham Police Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis) tries to reassure the city that they have Indian Hills under control. But their reassurance is disrupted at a press conference by a prodding reporter named Valerie Vale and the appearance of Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) who declares that the escapees at large are organized by Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith). One of those escapees is Dr. Jervis Tetch aka Mad Hatter.
Jervis Tetch aka Mad Hatter is portrayed by Benedict Samuel. The Australian actor is known for his roles on Secret City (Felix Crawford), The Walking Dead (Alpha Wolf), The Beautiful Lie (Skeet Du Pont), and Home and Away (Hammer Pirovic), among others. Samuel is also recognized for his roles in the films The Walk (David), The Stanford Prison Experiment (Jacob Harding), Asthma (Gus), and Underground: The Julian Assange Story (Jonah). Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
