The Miss America Competition is celebrating its 96th year. From Atlantic City, Chris Harrison (The Bachelor) and Sage Steele (NBA Countdown) will host the televised event. But the pressure is on the judges to name the 2017 Miss America. The judges include Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, country singer Cole Swindell, and actress Laura Marano, among others.
Marano is the 20-year-old actress known for her roles on Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally (Ally Dawson), The Sarah Silverman Program (Young Sarah Silverman), Dexter (Young Debra), and Without a Trace (Anthony LaPaglia’s daughter Kate), among others. Marano is also a solo singer: her latest single is ‘La La.’ The 2017 Miss America Competition will air on Sunday, September 11 at 9pm on ABC.
