Comedy Central is roasting actor Rob Lowe (The Grinder, The West Wing, The Hotel New Hamphire). Comedic actor David Spade (Rules of Engagement, Joe Dirt, Just Shoot Me!) is the host. Slade will be joined by fellow roasters: actress Bo Derek (Sharnado 4, Tommy Boy, 1o), former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, Rob Riggle (The Daily Show, FOX NFL Sunday), regular Comedy Central roaster Jeff Ross, SNL player Pete Davidson, and Jimmy Carr.
Carr is the 43-year-old English stand-up comedian. Americans recognize him from his appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (twice) and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (three times). He’s released nine DVDs and is the author of The Naked Jape: Uncovering the Hidden World of Jokes. He’ll appear next on the big screen in the animated film Magik with Benedict Cumberbatch (in theaters December 25, 2016). Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe will air on Monday, September 5 at 10pm.
