In the Gotham episode ‘Mad City: Burn the Witch’, while Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and reporter Valerie Vale (Jamie Chung) try to find Fish Mooney who’s looking for Hugo Strange, Ivy Pepper resurfaces. Last time we saw Ivy, she made the mistake of calling Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) a monster and then disappeared. Little Ivy has been changed – she’s been morphed into big Ivy via one of Professor Strange’s monster creations. Ivy doesn’t know what happened to her but she likes the change. “I’m different, inside and out,” she says.

As executive producer Ken Woodruff says of big Ivy: “She’s a little more disturbed. She’s a little more evil. And she’s also going to have the ability to seduce to get what she wants.” As actor McKenzie (Gordon) says, “She will become the Poison Ivy we know from the comics.” Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
