So far September 2016 has been an awesome month for country singer Cole Swindell. He will perform on the nationally televised 10th Annual ACM Honors show (September 9) with big names in the industry including Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton among others. And he’s just about to headline the next CMT on Tour. The gig has launched a number of careers for rising stars like Jason Alden and Miranda Lambert. On top of that, he’s going to join Mark Cuban, Ciara, and gymnast Gabby Douglas, as a judge at the Miss America 2017 pageant in Atlantic City (September 11).
When interviewed by CMT Hot 20 Countdown, Swindell said, “I think I’m right at that point in my career where it could, you know, go either way. And I obviously want to keep going up. And I think this [headlining CMT on Tour] is the best step to get there.” He’s excited about the smaller venues on the tour where fans “take pictures up your nose” — that’s how close he gets to the first row. P.S. The 10th Annual ACM Honors will air Friday, September 9 at 9pm on CBS.
