The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony will feature a number of memorable performances. Held at Madison Square Garden, the event will feature performances by Rihanna (recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award), Britney Spears and G-Eazy (‘Make Me…’), and Nick Jonas and Ty Dolla $ign will sing Jonas’ hit song ‘Bacon’ from his album Last Year Was Complicated.
Ty Dolla $ign (born Tyrone William Griffin, Jr.) broke into the music business via YG’s single “Toot It and Boot It” (Ty wrote and produced it with YG). Ty is also known for his hit singles “Paranoid”, “Or Nah” as well as writing the hooks to “Loyal,” “Post to Be” and “FourFiveSeconds”, among others. Ty is up for a Best Collaboration VMA for the Fifth Harmony song “Work from Home,” which just won a Teen Choice Award. The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will air Sunday, August 28 at 9pm on MTV.
