Real Life Hulks is a documentary series on TLC that features muscular men “who go to extremes to get even bigger.” One of them is Romario Dos Santos. The 26-year-old Brazilian said he started lifting when he was 15. When he wasn’t satisfied with the results, he started injecting himself with mineral oil. Twice a week he injected 4ml of mineral oil into his arms. At his peak, he had 20 inch diameter arms. He became addicted to the injections.
When his wife, Marisangela Marinho, became pregnant with their first child, Romario quit. It wasn’t easy, as he reveals on Real Life Hulks which airs Mondays at 10pm on TLC.
