On the Real Housewives of New York City, the ladies join Bravo’s Andy Cohen for a reunion. One of the big storylines this season was Luann de Lesseps falling in love with Tom D’Agostino. Sonja Morgan claims she had a ten-year “friends with benefits” relationship with Tom. And Bethenny Frankel told Luann she has proof (a photo) of Tom with another woman just one week after he proposed to Luann. Carole Radizwill took to her Bravo blog and wrote: “Thing is, Luann has showed us time and time again that monogamy is not something she places a premium on. Why are we not listening? Maybe it is me who hasn’t learned the lesson. She freely admits to stepping out in her marriage, only after her husband did first, but still.”
Luann’s ex-husband is Count Alexandre de Lesseps. Luann married the French Count in 1993. They had two children together (Noel and Victoria) and divorced in 2009. “Alex” is considered a pioneer of micro financing in developing countries including Myanmar, Cambodia, and Haiti. He is a descendant of Ferdinard de Lesseps, who built the Suez Canal and started the Panama Canal. As head of the Franco-American Union, Ferdinard de Lesseps formally presented the Statue of Liberty to the United States. He spoke at the dedication ceremony attended by President Grover Cleveland. Real Housewives of New York airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
