On The Rap Game, Jermaine Dupri teaches the kid rappers about collaboration. Nia Kay declares: “I’m ready so you can’t put someone who’s ready with two people who are not ready.” She learns quickly that’s not the right attitude. As Dupri says, “The best artists need to know how to collaborate.” Before getting the kids to perform together at a radio station block party, Dupri introduces them to Migos.
Migos is the Atlanta hip hop trio (Takeoff, Offset, Quavo) known for the 2013 viral sensation ‘Versace’. Drake rapped a verse for a remix and made the song even more famous. Dupri says of Migos: “They’ve got one of the most infectious rap styles that everybody’s trying to do.” Note: Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle and Offset is Quavo’s cousin. The Rap Game at 10pm on Lifetime.
