On The $100,000 Pyramid game show with host Michael Strahan, actress/singer Bellamy Young (FLOTUS on Scandal) will compete against the king of musical satire Weird Al Yankovic.
Yankovic is best known for his parody songs and videos including “Smells Like Nirvana” and “Fat” (a spoof of Michael Jackson‘s “Bad”) and “Like a Surgeon” set to Madonna‘s “Like a Virgin.” But there’s one big star who turned him down — Paul McCartney. Yankovic recently told CBS: “I wanted to do a parody of ‘Live and Let Die,’ called ‘Chicken Pot Pie.’ And because Paul’s a strict vegetarian, he said, ‘Well, I’d prefer that your parody not be about eating chicken because, like, that goes against my beliefs.’ And I thought, ‘Well, the whole chorus of the song is chickens squawking. And I couldn’t really make it tofu pot pie or something else. It wouldn’t work the same!” The $100,000 Pyramid airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
