Syfy is covering San Diego Comic-Con live. During the third night (July 23) Syfy host Will Arnett will talk about new films and upcoming TV series including Syfy’s The Magicians, which is based on the books by Lev Grossman. One of the main characters in the “Harry Potter in College” series is Julia Wicker, who is portrayed by Stella Maeve.
Born in Nyack, New York, the 26-year-old Maeve is also recognized for her role as Nadia Decotis on Chicago P.D. and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Golden Boy (Agnes Clark), and Gossip Girl (Emma Boardman), among others. Maeve has also appeared in the films Transamerica (Taylor) and The Runaways (Sandy West) with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. Maeve will appear on the big screen again in Chester Tam’s comedy S.B. Bound with Andy Samberg and Josh Peck. Season 2 of The Magicians will air in 2017.
