In the Blue: A Secret Life episode “Good Looking Boy,” single mom accountant/prostitute Blue (Julia Stiles) questions her love life and has an emotional visit with her father Mitch who’s serving a life sentence in jail. Mitch is portrayed by William Petersen.
Petersen is well-known for his role as Gil Grissom on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He’s also recognized for his roles in the films Cousins with Ted Danson and Isabella Rossellini (as Tom), To Live and Die in L.A. (as Richard Chance), and Michael Mann’s Manhunter (Petersen plays a former FBI profiler hunting down a serial killer named the Tooth Fairy), among others. Peterson was a part of the Steppenwolf Company before making his Broadway debut in Tennessee Williams’ “The Night of the Iguana” in 1996. Blue: A Secret Life airs on Fridays at 10pm and 11pm on LMN.
