Mark Zuckerberg‘s success puts him in a league of his own — he’s in a race against himself. Sure there are Twitter billionaires and Snapchat is rising fast, but when people talk about social media they very often simply mean Facebook. So having vanquished the competition, Zuckerberg has begun creating his own challenges. He began a book club to make sure he kept up on his reading. He learned Chinese so he could communicate better with his wife’s family (it might come in handy for business, too).
But you can’t keep rising to your intellectual challenges if you’re not fit. So Zuckerberg set himself another goal: he decided to race against himself more literally. Zuckerberg pledged he’d run 365 miles this year. He just met his goal, winning yet another of his own personal races. As with everything else, he improved as he went along.
