On the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta episode “Confessions,” while Karlie comes clean to Tiarra, and Dime confronts Joseline, Mimi Faust’s best friend Ariane Davis meets music producer D. Smith. Ariane was excited about their meeting; she thought they were going to talk about launching Ariane’s music career and lay down a track. But when D. Smith introduces vocal coach James Slaughter to Ariane, the meeting takes a cold turn down south. D. Smith is not impressed with the scale Ariane performed, and tells her so. “I think Ariane is jumping the gun a little bit,” says D.
Ariane tells D. that she’s willing to work hard to become a professional singer but thinks D. is being condescending. “I don’t know if this is the right fit for me,” Ariane tells D. D. tells Ariane that she shouldn’t look for someone who’s going to take it easy on her. That was a low blow to Ariane who says she’s willing to work her ass off, but thinks D. is being shady for no reason. Before Ariane walks out of the studio, D. tells her “You can’t keep running.” Ariane whines, “I’m not running, I’m over it.” Love & Hip Hop Atlanta airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
