Zach Gowen is the former WWE wrestler who’s vying for a spot on Season 8 of American Ninja Warrior at the Atlanta qualifiers. He will be the first contestant to compete with one leg. At the age of eight, Zach was diagnosed with cancer which led to him having his left leg amputated. He made his professional wrestling debut in 2002, and signed on with WWE in 2003. Later in his career, he teamed up with wrestler Gregory Iron who has cerebral palsy. Together they were known in the ring as The Handicapped Heroes.
