In the Season 2 premiere of Odd Mom Out, when Jill (Jill Kargman) isn’t trying to jump start her career in the cut-throat world of fashion magazines, she’s spending time with family. For Yom Kippur, Jill and her husband Andy (Andy Buckley) have their parents over. Andy’s mother Candace is portrayed by Joanna Cassidy. Jill’s mother is portrayed by Blythe Danner, and Jill’s father Alan is portrayed by Dan Hedaya.
Dan Hedaya is known for his roles on Blue Bloods (Vincent Rella), The Mindy Project (Alan Castellano), The Book of Daniel (Father Frank), ER (Herb Spivak), Yes, Dear (Don Ludke), and last but not least, Cheers (as Carla’s ex-husband Nick Tortelli). He’s also recognized for his role in the 1995 film The Usual Suspects as Jeff Rabin. Fun fact about Hedaya: He got his big break on the soap opera Ryan’s Hope as Herbie Towers in 1975.
