Christopher, a 54-year-old man from Las Vegas, Nevada believes he has the $1 million act that could win Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. For his audition, he walks on the stage alone…wearing a Native American costume, complete with feather head dress and loincloth. AGT judge Heidi Klum compliments him on his outfit to which he says, “It’s just something I threw together this morning.” That’s not true. Christopher has been working on his act for 30 years. When it’s time to perform, he goes backstage and fetches his elaborate mannequins. Situated between the police officer and construction worker, Christopher and the mannequins become the disco band The Village People and perform their hit song YMCA.
The audience gets on its feet and sings and claps along. They gesture all the letters with their arms above their heads. The AGT judges can’t help but smile, even Simon Cowell. But is Christopher’s worth $1 million? America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
