Elias and Zion Phoenix are the 9-year-old twins from Spring Hill, Florida competing on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. When interviewed by AGT judge Simon Cowell, and asked which boy is the naughtiest, they agree – it’s Elias. When asked what they would do if they win the $1 million prize, the charming Zion mentions a “college education” while Elias mentions fast cars and luxury watches. While they might not agree on everything, when the boys sit down and play the piano together, they are in total sync.
Elias and Zion wear their hair long — down to their waists. And there’s a reason behind the fashion choice. When they were born, the boys were premature (30 weeks) and just under 3 pounds each. They had to stay in the hospital for the first month of their lives. Their mother Bree Phoenix says the nurses often had to shave their hair to insert IVs. When they were finally released from the hospital, their mother promised to never cut their hair. The boys say they like their long hair, even though they often get teased. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
