In the Sister Wives episode “Meri Makes Amends,” Meri and Janelle continue their therapy sessions. They’re getting ready for their family vacation in Hawaii. But Meri isn’t initially optimistic about the two women bonding on the Big Island. “I have no idea what we could do in Hawaii,” Meri says. “Maybe we could go to the beach and see if we could build a sandcastle together. I don’t know.”
Meri’s beef with Janelle goes way back to when Janelle left her husband (Meri’s brother) to be with Kody Brown. Janelle wrote in their 2012 book Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage: “Meri and I went from cordial to frosty overnight. We snipped at each other over the smallest things.” Has much changed? In November, they got into a heated debate over Thanksgiving decorations. Sister Wives airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
