NeNe Leakes, the veteran star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, has been making her rounds on TV game shows lately. She recently appeared on To Tell the Truth hosted by Anthony Anderson of black-ish. And NeNe and her family will play on Celebrity Family Feud – against former Ghostbusters actor Ernie Hudson.
In between game shows, Leakes is doing a number of one woman shows. While she says she’s not trying to be a comedian, she’s just doing what she does (being herself) on stage at comedy clubs. After her first show in Charlotte sold out, NeNe told E! News correspondent Jason Kennedy that “my team got greedy” and lined up more shows (Nashville, Atlantic City, New York City, Tempe). When Kennedy pointed out that more shows mean more money for Leakes, she said, “Yeah but I’m not doing it for the money this time.” She explains that she’s doing the shows “to get the kinks out” of her performance, her routine. NeNe Leakes will appear on Celebrity Family Feud (June 26) which airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC.
