In the TV movie Honor Student, crime novelist Nicholas Howarth is promoting his latest best-selling book “Killer Student.” At a book signing, he’s startled to see Teresa Smith (Josie Loren), a student of his from when he taught writing in a women’s prison. Teresa claims her teacher stole her story and she’s demanding half the royalties. When Nicholas doesn’t give into her demands, Teresa starts calling his house and stalking his wife.
Nicholas Howarth is portrayed by Niall Matter. The Canadian actor is known for his roles on Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce (Joaquin), Remedy (Peter Cutler), Rizzoli & Isles (Detective Mike Guthrie), Constantine (Daryl), Arctic Air (Tag Cummins), Eureka (Zane Donovan), 90210 (Greg), and Melrose Place (Rick Paxton), among others. Matter is also recognized for his role in the 2009 film Watchmen as Mothman. Honor Student premieres on Lifetime on May 29 at 7pm. It will air again on May 29 at 11pm and June 13 at 10am.
