In the TV movie Honor Student, best selling crime novelist Nicholas Howarth (Niall Matter) is promoting his latest book “Killer Student.” At a book signing, he’s approached by Teresa Smith, a former student. Nicholas didn’t meet Teresa on a college campus but in a women’s prison where he taught. Now a free woman, Teresa Smith accuses Howarth of stealing her life story. (She’s the Killer Student.) She’s demanding half the royalties from the book, and then some.
Teresa Smith is portrayed by Josie Loren. The 29-year-old actress is known for her roles on The Mentalist (Agent Vega who worked with Cho in Season 7), Hit the Floor (Kendall), and Make It or Break It (Kaylie Cruz), among others. Loren is also recognized for her roles in the films 21 & Over (Pledge Aguilar) and 17 Again with Zac Efron, Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann (Nicole). Honor Student premieres on Lifetime on May 29 at 7pm. It will air again on May 29 at 11pm and June 13 at 10am.
