For The Voice Live Finals, Laith Al-Saadi sang his original song “Morning Light.” He says it’s about wanting to hold on to that love you know you’re not going to keep. Kinda like a “Georgia on My Mind” kind of song. Laith’s coach Adam Levine loves it. In rehearsal, when Laith breaks into his guitar solo, Adam says he sounds like Slash. That’s just before he says it reminds him of Clapton. Those, you might say, are some heavy hitters. As Laith says, “We’re gonna go out with a bang.”
After the performance, Pharrell praises the bluesy song and Laith’s “amazing chord changes.” Pharrell, who can’t just say vote for Laith — what would Hannah think? — told America to just go “buy that song.” Adam Levine of course agrees and tells Laith, “You make us all feel so good. You fill the room with joy and you do that better than anybody.” Levine says “You’ve slowly become my favorite.” The Season 10 winner of The Voice will be announced Tuesday, May 24 at 8pm on NBC.
