It’s no surprise that David Bowie left a few surprises. Turns out he left a hidden galaxy in the cover of the vinyl version of Blackstar — his final album. A fan posted the discovery that when bright light shines through the cover with the album removed, it reveals a field of stars.
Pretty cool coda from the legendary Starman and Blackstar designer Jonathan Barnbrook. Even Bowie’s son, movie director Duncan Jones, was moved — and surprised — by the discovery. “So clever. So missed,” wrote Jones.
Leaving us surprises even now.
