In the three-part series Doctor Foster: A Woman Scorned, Doctor Gemma Foster suspects her husband Simon (Bertie Carvel) is having an affair. It all starts with a long strand of blond hair found on his scarf. (Gemma is a brunette.) She thinks she could accept the affair if he confesses and puts an end to it. But Simon denies it. When Gemma launches her own investigation to get to the truth, she uncovers lots of secrets and lies which will tear her life apart.
Doctor Foster is portrayed by Suranne Jones. The English actress is known for her roles on Scott & Bailey (DC Rachel Bailey), A Touch of Cloth (DI Anne Oldman), The Crimson Field (Sister Joan Livesey), Single Father (Sarah), Five Days (DC Laurie Franklin), and Coronation Street (Karen McDonald) among others. Part 1 of 3 of Doctor Foster: A Woman Scorned will premiere on Sunday, April 10 at 9pm on Lifetime. Part 2 will air Sunday, April 17 at 9pm, and Part 3 will air Sunday, April 24 at 9pm.
