In the Modern Family episode “Man Shouldn’t Lie,” while Claire (Julie Bowen) finds a stray dog and tries to hide it from her husband Phil (Ty Burrell), Gloria (Sofia Vergara) invites a new couple over even though her husband Jay (Ed O’Neill) doesn’t want to make any new friends. Jay might have to eat crow when he hits it off with Reece, “a real guy’s guy.” Or not.
Reece is portrayed by Adam Arkin. He’s known for his roles on How to Get Away with Murder (Wallace Mahoney), Fargo (Hamish Broker), State of Affairs (Victor Gantry), Masters of Sex (Shep Tally), Sons of Anarchy (Ethan Zobelle), Boston Legal (ADA Douglas Kupfer), 8 Simple Rules (Principal Ed Gibb), Chicago Hope (Dr. Aaron Shutt), and Northern Exposure (Adam), among many others. He is the son of actor Alan Arkin. Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9pm on ABC.
