Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence longs to relax the Hollywood star requirements. You can hear it in her weary voice. (Lawrence surely retains a lot of energy, but of this lean lean fighting machine body type she does seem truly tired.) Like many women — and men, too, a less-heard-from group in this regard — Lawrence wished what we consider a normal body type was more, well, normal. Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar, the Silver Linings Playbook star said about body expectations: “I think we’ve gotten so used to underweight, that when you are a normal weight, it’s like: ‘Oh, my God, she’s curvy.’ ”
Lawrence got personal about the weighty matter, saying: “I don’t feel like I have a normal body. I do Pilates every day. I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person.” The normal person eats and works out less, according to Lawrence — that’s the formula you need to get a normal body. Lawrence, who is 25, has done very well financially (she’s thought to be worth $70 million) and professionally (Oscar, you know) with her abnormal body — the actor’s instrument. She’ll probably keep at it, tiring as abnormal may be.
