On the Grey’s Anatomy episode “ Odd Man Out,” a man named Griffin McColl (Lance Henriksen) is brought to the hospital after a terrible accident. He suffered from a brain bleed and needed to be operated on. When the doctors update Lena (Jamie Rose), who they believe is Griffin’s wife, Griffin’s real wife Gayle walks in. She explains to the doctors, “I’m the wife, she’s the slut he’s been hitting on the side.” Gayle proceeds to ask if he’s dead yet. The doctors say no and offer Gayle the opportunity to see him. “I don’t want to see him until he’s dead.”
