In the TV movie Mommy’s Little Girl, a little girl named Sadie is raised by her grandparents in a remote part of the country. At school, Sadie is considered weird, and for good reasons. She has terrible thoughts about hurting people and she’s willing to carry them out. Especially if she knows hurting someone will bring her closer to her mother Theresa (Fiona Gubelmann). It’s fair to say Sadie is a 21st century version of Rhoda in The Bad Seed.
Sadie is portrayed by Emma Hentschel. Mommy’s Little Girl is Hentschel’s big break. She made her acting debut in 2015, in an episode of Teen Nick’s Open Heart. Hentschel played a young Dr. London Blake, the protagonist of the show, who as an adult is portrayed by Tori Anderson. Mommy’s Little Girl premieres on Lifetime on March 19 at 8pm. It will air again on March 20 at 12am and 5pm.
