In the How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 finale episode “Anna Mae,” Annalise aka Anna Mae (Viola Davis) reunites with her family. She visits her mother Ophelia Harkness (91-year-old legend Cicely Tyson) and her sister Celestine. The visit takes a bad turn when Anna Mae’s absentee father (Roger Robinson) shows up.
Celestine is portrayed by Gwendolyn Mulamba. She’s appeared on Law & Order, Head of State, and Guiding Light, and in the 2013 film Beautiful Creatures as Mrs. Snow. Fun fact: In addition to Beautiful Creatures which stars HTGAWM’s Viola Davis, Mulamba also had a role in the 2015 film Lila & Eve starring Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez. How to Get Away with Murder airs Thursdays at 10pm on ABC.
