In the Dance Moms episode “Brynn’s Big Moment,” while Brynn vies for a spot on the ALDC, dance instructor Abby Lee Miller brings back singer, dancer, choreographer Todrick Hall to the studio. She’s asked Todrick to direct the ALDC girls in a commercial inspired by the Broadway musical The Wiz. The commercial, “Ease on Down the Santa Monica Boulevard,” will be used to promote Abby’s California studio.
The girls are ecstatic to see Todrick. They had great fun filming his 2014 music video Freaks Like Me (see below) which also included cameos from Miller and the Moms. “Ease on Down the Boulevard” will feature Brynn (Scarecrow), JoJo (Tin Man), Kalani (The Good Witch), Kendall (Wicked Witch), Mackenzie (Toto), Maddie (Dorothy) and Nia (Cowardly Lion). Dance Moms airs Tuesdays at 8pm and 9pm on Lifetime.
