On Brooklyn Nine-Nine, NYPD detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) wants to introduce his girlfriend, fellow detective Amy (Melissa Fumero) to his mother Karen on his birthday. But the appearance of Jake’s father Roger (Bradley Whitford) throws Jake’s plan for a loop.
Jake’s mother Karen Peralta is portrayed by Katey Sagal. She’s best known for her roles on The Bastard Executioner (Annora of the Alders), Sons of Anarchy (Gemma Teller Morrow), Lost (Helen Norwood), Boston Legal (Barbara Little), 8 Simple Rules (Cate Hennessy), and last but not least Married with Children (Peggy Bundy), among others. The accomplished actress and singer (she sang backup for Bette Midler and Gene Simmons!) is married to Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 9pm on FOX.
