In the beginning of Season 7 of The Good Wife, after Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) lost her State’s Attorney title, she struggled to revive her law career. She found herself representing arrestees looking out get out on bail in Bond Court. To capture the non-glamorous court setting, Margulies wore a particularly unflattering wig. The decision was perhaps intentional, to somehow reflect her lower legal status.
In the “Targets” episode (February 21), once again Alicia is struggling to revive her career after her attempt to go solo (with new partner Lucca Bloom). With her back against a financial wall, she decides to return to Lockhart, Argos and Lee but without partner status or a decent office chair. And again, Alicia’s bad wig returns. However, investigator Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) doesn’t seem bothered by Alicia’s dead-end do. Spoiler alert: He too received a new hairdo. The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9pm on CBS.
