Before Love & Hip Hop star Mendeecees Harris goes to prison for eight years for his involvement in a cocaine and heroin drug ring in Upstate New York, he invites all his baby mamas (he’s the father of four) and his mother Judy to dinner. Not all the ladies get along but they all show up. Mendeecees tells them he wants to stay in his children’s lives. While all the other ladies try to comfort Mendeecees and reassure him that this won’t be a problem, Samantha, mother of Lil’ Mendeecess, doesn’t join the pity party.
Samantha calmly asks Mendeecees: “Do you think that’s [jail] the best environment for the children right now?” Before he can answer his mother Judy jumps in and says, “Put yourself in that place when you made your mistake.” Judy is referring to the time Samantha was sent to jail. Samantha says, “I was locked up for one day.” Judy replies, “Locked up is locked up.” The conversation turns ugly, fast. Love & Hip Hop airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1.
